How to wear a dress- Winter

How to wear a dress in Winter. I used to only wear those jumpers and warm trousers each Christmas. Now I can rock the dress look, while keeping snug and cozy. All you need is warm leggings and a cardigan. You could also wear a shirt underneath the dress- but make sure they match- you can't go wearing any old shirt with a simple dress.
First Picture shows me wearing my black H&M dress with H&M leggings and...oh an H&M cardigan. That whole 'same-store' thing was totally unintentional. But I guess a shop is going to have some consistent style. For example you can't wear a topshop cardigan with...an a certain all saint's shirt can you? You see? totally mis-matching styles. Sometimes someone can totally pull the whole thing off, wearing an original, cool and funky outfit, but most of the time it fails :)..
Next Picture shows me wearing the H&M leggings, a Next military cardigan and a Next stripy dress. I think the first colourscheme was a 'cool-blue' style and this one is a 'pink-parisian-chique' style.
